The Midlands - Close at the top

The midlands league may not have the high scores of some others but its pretty tight at the top with 9 points seperating the top 4. Congratulations to Nick with the early lead, most points and most species seen whilst Dave and Richard aren't too far off on either count.

15 John Matkin Callow & Carsington Water  0 0 N/A
16 Rob Hoare Clifton Grove/Barton-in-Fabis 0 0 N/A

The comparative league is our smallest in the challenge, just 4 patches but interestingly they have some of the highest %'s so far and its the only league where every patch is over 50% let alone 60%! So while Alan, is lingering in 7th in the points league he has a good league here. There isn't much between 2nd and 4th, I can see both leagues being very close all year.

  1. I just saw the 'congratulations to Nick' bit and got rather over excited! I needn't have worried.

But, congratulations to Nick. However, I'd just like to point out that this is a marathon, not a sprint.
