Just a quick post to reitterate the process at the start of PWC2015. The website is coming along nicely but has a few issues that need to be ironed out before release. Therefore at the start of the year we will be using the 2014 scoring process. To start scoring download the excel file from the link on the right hand side of the blog below the 2015 entry form. Scoring is simple, add the species that you have seen and a score will automatically be allocated. If this is worth 3 points or more and you found the bird, add an F into the find column to add the finders bonus points for rarer birds.
The entry process is also simple. Complete the form on the right of the blog and submit. A message will appear confirming your entry. From this point you are entered and ready to go.
Score submission is at the end of each month. In the first week of the following month a form is put on the blog where you can submit your scores. This will also be advertised on Twitter and Facebook. So for January scores, enter your cumulative score from your scoresheet into the blog form which will be available from the 1st Feb.
Once the website goes live this will have more information and will be more user-friendly but until that point we will continue with last years process.
Happy birding!
Hi Pat, just found your blog, via ''stewchat'
ReplyDeletelooks like you have a very nice local patch there, shame you have to leave it, good luck with the new one though :-)
Ive signed up for the PWC, but my small inland site has only yielded 140 species in the 13 years ive been watching it, still I have seen some nice birds, best being a flyover Black Stork!
